Staff were very helpful, although I don't think they spoke much English. There's a noodle place that's part of the business which made for a nice dinner, although isn't listed on Google maps. I had a single room which was comfy and warm. Very clean, building looks brand new, comfy lounge that also functions as a co-working area. Soundproofing was bad to nonexistent but I found it wasn't an issue during my stay. They also give you a free voucher to a local onsen roughly a 10 minute walk away, I used it and the onsen was very nice.

Everything . The onsen amazing…. A hot rock sauna room plus normal sauna excellent. Infinity outdoor hot onsen views wonderful . Food excellent… suggest a 15 minute delay on starting to allow for the rush! Great views, free drinks, snacks, snow freeze in foyer such a nice touch . We upgraded to a room with a shower but loved the onsen for evenings. Would return and disregard bad reviews…. We kiwis loved it .

Excellent stay, and the view of the bay from the room was amazing. Both meals were delicious, and we had them in a private room. Also, there were a few private baths. The service staff were amiable and helpful. It is worth a trip to this remote area of the Noto Peninsula.

House is newly renovated, well designed lay-out, big rooms, tatami bedding, big self service kitchen, big eating and resting area facing the sea.
Motorbikes were invited into a big central laundry area between the front house and back house (owner).
Western seating and tables, excellent Japanese breakfast. (we were offered breakfast in the evening as we left before 7am).
Extremely helpful and friendly owner.
The house has a very good feeling, it was a great stay.

Although the aftermath of the 2024 earthquake is still very present, Kuroshima is gradually reviving. One example is this guest house. The host is quite pleasant, and the amenities are excellent. Obviously, the location is the cherry on top.
