Location and Transport
Værnes is Trondheim’s closest airport, located 12 miles (19 kilometres) from the city. There’s a regular bus service that runs between the city centre and the airport, leaving every 15 minutes from around 04:00 until 21:00, and taking about 40 minutes. NSB trains take around the same time and leave hourly from the neighbouring Trondheim Airport Station. A taxi is faster but will cost about NOK 600.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
There’s one hotel set next to the main terminal, while there are a couple more located about a mile (2 kilometres) away in the towns of Hell and Stjoerdal. In the airport terminals, there’s free WiFi, baggage storage, as well as some shopping and eating options.
Terminal Information
There are two terminals: A for domestic flights and B for international arrivals and departures. You can walk between the two terminals on both sides of security.
