This is one of the best and most exotic places I've ever encountered in the vicinity of a large city. Greg's house is located at the edge of the urban area, within an exclusive suburb - originally built for U.S. army /air force officers and their families. The area has probably the best basic infrastructure, utilities, drinking water etc. within Panama. In the meantime, there are large swaths of intact tropical forests around the place which are full of wildlife! From hummingbirds to lizards, or from monkeys to caymans - you have the opportunity to observe everything and feel yourself within a nature documentary. In order to get this experience, all you need to do is to sit down at the breakfast table and enjoying your meal as well as observing the surroundings. Greg is an awesome host, who never stops showing genuine care towards his guests. A really unforgettable experience. Thank you very much!

I was warned that this was a dangerous area of the city, but I never felt unsafe, and the building is very secure. The decor is just beautiful, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. If I there were in-room refrigerators and a laundry area, it would be perfect for a long stay. But a lavandería, a grocery store, and several restaurants were very close by, so I made it work (I was there for 5 weeks).

Great staff particularly Gabriel on reception was very helpful and Luz who works in the restaurant was always friendly and humoured my rudimentary Spanish! Pool is a great addition, room was always made up perfectly. Great location and great breakfast. Would highly recommend!

In this case it's all about her price and this hotel was exceptional value for money.
The room was large, spotless and with good AC. It's not new, but it's perfectly serviceable.
The rooftop bar and pool was a nice addition.
Breakfast was included and very decent with plenty of choice.
Our welcome drink was a lovely surprise.

Very affordable living, everything was reasonably priced. The Albrook Mall experience was spectacular...I have never been to a mall as large as this before; lovely place to shop for everything! The view of the city when lit up at night is gorgeous, and I love my experience at the Panama Canal.

This place is good for a getaway and being remote. You are very good distance from the city. They had two sides the adult or preferred pool was quiet side. The family side was where games and bigger pools were. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were ample in size. The food was just ok. Not a lot ofnoptions after couple of days. Lol only issue I had was the animals. You will see raccoons at night roaming and eating off the room service plates left outside. Which I think staff should have not left out like that. And raccoons can be dangerous. Also the wifi would go in and out. Lastly if you want to do things in the city, stay in the city. It was hard getting users from.time to time. And the place doesn't offer shuttle service to the city unless you are paying for it. It's like $20-$30 a person. Oh the weight room was nice.

Love that it was All-Inclusive but unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of all the things they offered like the Rainforest tour and karaoke night. The rooms were clean and the size of the room was great for us. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay there again if I'm ever in the area again.

The property is off the main road and in a quiet neighbourhood in Veracruz. The room is large and very comfortable. The property is well taken care of and Nathalie is extremely friendly and very helpful. Even in advance to our stay communication was easy and straightforward. We cannot express enough how grateful to Nathalie we are for making our stay so comfortable.

this location, while pretty, is too far from everything else. Ubers would not come there so we were forced to hire taxis from the Westin next door which were way overpriced. Every tour operator changed extra to come there as well.

We stayed in the historic Casco Viejo which was the best for restaurants, bars and daily activities. Make sure to visit Lake Gatun, Panama Canal , hiking Anton Mountain (strenuous) and San Blas Islands (relaxing).
Walk in Casco Viejo on your own. No need for a tour guide. Read about the history on line.
Also, use Uber…a lot cheaper than taxi.

The resort could use some upgrades. The staff was helpful. For as much as we spent to stay at an all-inclusive I expected more. The food was not very good. We only ate breakfast there, and after to days we went out to eat. All the pools and outside bars close a 7pm. Overall it was a decent stay, but I would research other places first.

I accidentally booked a room here online through booking.com on my phone while trying to book a hotel in Panama city, FL. For one night and I immediately caught my mistake and tried to have it canceled however you can never speak to someone who can help resolve this issue when trying to call!! I have also tried to get booking.com to help me with this issue as well, and they can't get anyone to help either!!

Panama is always high in our ranking as a family. It's easy to get to, we love the warm weather, people are very nice, it's safe and the fact that you can pay with US dollars makes the stay really easy. We visited San Blas, Casco Viejo and Las Perlas, the Canal and shopped at Multiplaza, everything was lovely.

There is virtually no beach. the water comes up to the edge of the property at high tide , so there is no lounging there. The water is very shallow. That was disappointing. In addition, the stairways are high stone steps and the railings to ascend or descend are very rickety. More importantly, they do not go all the way down, so I actually injured myself on the step trying to go back up to the pool area. The Hyatt Ziva we stayed at had a full time medical doctor on site. This place could use the same, even part-time coverage would be an improvement over the ill-equipped "First Aid Kit" carried by one woman with little training (not her fault). The food was good, but the wait for the seafood restaurant was ridiculously long. They could double the size of their kitchen in order to accommodate patrons.
The closing of each restaurant for a day each caused a back-up on those days. The food at the Ziva was better. The rooms and balconies at Playa Bonita were spacious and well attended to, including the beds, towels etc. We did a few sightseeing day trips all of which were great, especially the one to the Panama Canal: fantastic!
