It`s a very cosy family place, where you feel at home. The location is perfect - 5 min from the airport and close to the main road. Also, I loved breakfast - it had a good variety, fruits, milk, cheese, and jam. Overall - a very good impression and proper rest.

Rooms were very clean, with a very nice space, wc was big, the view was incredible and the bed was super confortable. I Guess the girl who gave us the keys is named Tatiana and she was super nice and kind.

House Is on quiet spot with beautiful view. Nice restaurant across the road, cosy rooms,well equiped. Host was very helpful when needed, communication worked well. It Is worth it to check the sunrise if weather allowes it (we visited in winter). Would stay again

First Tanya the owner is absolutely a wonderful lady helpful friendly. it was a joy to stay in her place.
The room is a big size absolutely newiy renovated. there is a coffee machine with capsules and cups andl dishes and Cutlery, so if you want you can eat outside in a lovely area . there is also a microwave.

The facility is basic but it offers value for money. Good beds, clean rooms. The little houses are nicely located near the natural pools. It has a real festive, beach atmosphere with a lively beach bar at the end of the road where locals meet and where you can get snacks and drinks. We had some problems with our aircondlting but the owners handled it extremely well. Their personal approach made all the difference.

My stay there was great, I especially appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. The place is perfect if you have to catch a morning flight since it is just opposite the airport, also bus station is just across the street. However, it is not very easily accessible from Horta if you don't have your car; the public transport by bus is limited on weekends, even during the week the bus rides only few times a day, Besides one restaurant 1km away, there are also no other places to eat nearby. But the nature around is amazing and place is very nice, the rooms very comfortable and clean and breakfast is good.

Loved that the host provided some basic supplies - coffee, milk, fresh eggs, homemade jam, olive oil. The hot water was plentiful. It was great to have a washing machine. But the view is the best selling point!

The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views towards Pico island. The town is rather small but offers all the basics. The people are are friendly. It's not so suitable for shopping and to really appreciate it you should walk around a lot and also explore the nature around the town. Public transport is available though rather limited.

A quaint little village with friendly local people. Very close to everything if you have a car. There is no restaurant in Ribeirinha but there is a pub to get sandwiches and drinks. There are many places nearby you can drive to.

We loved Varadouro.
We loved Varadouro. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed longer to relax by the pools and swimming inlet. These swimming areas are located amongst the volcanic rock and are just amazing.
The area is very relaxing, the sea could be heard from our accommodation. We had a hire car, which is needed as the area is remote.
There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby.

Horta is a fabulous town, friendly people, nice restaurants and pedarias and shops in and around the Main Street
Our favorite place to eat was a fab resteraunt overlooking the ocean Praia do a Almoxarife. Lovely harbor with interesting paintings from passing sailors.
Porto Pim Beach close by.
Probably best to get a hire car to see all the lovely spots around the island (quite expensive) although the local buses are pretty good too. Plenty of walking/hiking trails especially the walk around the rim of Caldeira e Capelinhos. Lots of amazing view points and botanical gardens

We went on a full day tour of Faial with Andre at Visitfaial. This let us see all the sites. Faial is a beautiful island and I wish we had more time there. Horta is more of a town than a city, size wise. It has a big marina and this was buzzing with lots to look at including some big yachts. There are some busy bars and restaurants which are fun to visit although we preferred the quieter ones in Porto Pim Bay Area. Genuino has lots of memorabilia from the owner’s sailing adventures. The tuna steaks were massive. We had a table upstairs at window with lovely views across the bay. Taberna de Pim was also good and we were able to eat outside on the bay.
