Location and Transport
Surat Thani Airport is an important link to southern Thailand and islands such as Koh Samui and Koh Pha Ngan. Located in the Phunphin District, 13 miles (21 kilometres) west of central Surat Thani, the airport is linked to the city by a regular shuttle bus service. The Phantip Travel shuttle departs for downtown Surat after every arriving flight, and charges THB 100 per person (you must buy tickets before boarding). Alternatively, a taxi costs around THB 800–100, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.

There are two hotels within 1 mile (2 kilometres) of Surat Thani Airport. Both offer a shuttle pick-up service. Before takeoff, you can pass the time by shopping in duty free, eating at one of several restaurants, or relaxing in the library. Free WiFi is also available at the airport.
