Location and Transport
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is located just over 6 miles (10 kilometres) from the centre of Anchorage, which you can reach by People Mover bus in 35 minutes. There are departures every half hour from 06:00 until 23:00. A taxi will take about 20 minutes and cost around USD 24.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
You’ll find a selection of hotels within 2 miles (3 kilometres) of the airport and many have a shuttle service. There’s free WiFi in the terminals, as well as shopping, dining and, being Alaska, there’s also plenty of freezer storage. The airport is the world’s largest hub for seaplane flights and it lies exactly equidistant between Tokyo and New York City.
Terminal Information
There’s a free shuttle bus that runs from the south domestic terminal every 15 minutes. If you need to catch a bus from the north international terminal to the domestic terminal, you can call using a dedicated phone line near check-in. If you’re catching a connecting flight at Ted Stevens Anchorage, you’ll need to pass through immigration, where a passport, visa or ESTA may be necessary.
