Good location, tasty breakfast and nice service, especially the elderly shuttle driver was pretty friendly. He taught us how to drive in the crazy snowy days and was very sweet. Really wanted to tip him, but we didn't have cash with us and really so sorry about that.

The staff at the reception were extremely helpful, cordial and available for every request. One of them came to my room to show me the heater working. Another gave me her charger to charge my foreign phone which did not work on my charger. There were enough items for a healthy breakfast.

The hostel was super cute and beautiful!
Do try the coffee shop inside the hostel premises. It is the cutest little place. The private rooms are very comfortable with heating provided. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were nice and hot.

Outstandingly perfect! We have stayed in a LOT of differing accommodation in this and other countries and i think this truly was the best equipped self catering, most comfortable, most thoughtfully organised place yet. Everything you could need was there. Proper glass, china and cutlery, condiments, loads of space, superbly easy-to-use washing mc and drier, snack basket and even a bottle of wine. Comfy bed, comfy sofa. Even aurora at night across the river at the terrace!

The people around Fairbanks were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed every U we driver and person we met along the way. Highly recommend a stay a Borealis Basecamp just north of the city. We also had a great experience at the Ice Museum and the Museum of the North

Cabin was comfortable and warm. Separate bathhouse and shower was adequate. Parking was good. Wifi was not working. No water glasses or coffee cups available.
Location was good for visiting North Pole and Fairbanks.

Fairbanks is better suited to two or more people.
Fairbanks is better suited to two or more people. In the past I've had trouble booking tours unless I want to pay double. The people are lovely. I don't think I'd go there again without renting a car. Restaurants are pricey compared to the lower 48, but their season is very short.
The menus are full of panko-coated proteins such as halibut. The menus also tend to offer moose and reindeer, which aren't bad. I think it's best to go there if you've got a passion to pursue such as hiking, fishing, etc.

Don't miss a walk along the river to visit to the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Centre. It has an expansive and informative background to the city's beginnings and development.
The Discovery Riverboat Cruise tour was excellent for its description of first nations culture, dog-sledding and river life.
