Hotels near First Flight Airport - FFA, Kill Devil Hills

The aquarium was very nice( reasonably priced)and Elizabethian gardens were beautiful. Plenty of gift shops and restaurants. Was only able to see Bodie lighthouse this trip d/t a storm. So would love to revisit and travel to Hatteras and explore some more.

Trip was cut short because of the impending hurricane but we still got to enjoy beach time. The beach has soft sand and not a lot of shells. Waves were high so not much ocean swimming but still enjoyed sitting by the sea. Our favorite restaurants are Kill Devil Hill's Grill and Stack Um' High Pancake House. Had fun at the the aquarium and go karts with the kiddo.

I think it is a great town , so many great restaurants and small businesses are located in that area as well as opportunities for lodging Wright Brothers Memorial for visiting. Nice beaches Had dinner at Barefoot Bernies. Recommend highly Country Deli love their sandwiches. Miss Helen's gas station for breakfast can't be beat it's on the line at Nagshead.

Thank goodness we found Goombays Restaurant. Without it, our stay in Kill Devil Hills would have been a total washout. Apart from the sunrise, which was awesome. We did visit the Wright Brothers Memorial Museam, which was informative.

I loved the area, husband and I are trying to figure out when we can return, so many other things we wanted to see. The fact that we are from Ohio and my daughter attended Wright State University was a great connection since the Wright brothers took first flight in KDH area. We enjoyed going sandboarding and trying the various restaurants.

beautiful location but we visited during stormy weather so not ideal for walking on the beach. Also the Wright Bros memorial was closed due to government closures. However, this meant we discovered Manteo - the lost English colony which was a delight to walk around. We also went to some fantastic restaurants - Mama Kwans, Jolly Roger and Shipwrecks. All served great food and had wonderful differing ambience.
