The host accommodated us after a last-minute change. The apartment is comfortable, tasteful decorated, with breathtaking views of the ocean. It is also just a walk from the beach. The shops and restaurants are also just a short drive away. Highly recommend. Great value for money

We self catered during our stay at La Mercy however, Alex and his wife did provide eggs, some bread and milk as a complimentary breakfast. The view of the beach from the property was amazing and the entire place was spotless. The two doggies were also wonderful to have around as they are extremely friendly and well mannered.

Beautiful modernly furnished house and lovely hosts that were always eager to help out with suggestions for things to visit. House had Wifi and Netflix available and logged in. Nice neighbourhood to take a walk in with view over the ocean. Secure parking and close to a mall by 5 min drive with good restaurants and large Superspar. Best beach (Umdloti by Sand bar) of Durban was accessible by 10 min drive, also possible to walk. Strongly recommend!

King Shaka International Airport is located 22 miles (35 kilometres) north of central Durban, in La Mercy. The best way to access the airport is by taxi, and you can pick one up outside Arrivals. The maximum fare you should pay for a ride into Durban is ZAR 450, or ZAR 250 to Umhlanga. Prices are for the trip and not per person.

Our favourite place was uMhlanga, we loved the vibe and beautiful scenery. We ate at Butcher Boys, Doppio Zero, Spur, and La Parada, and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere.
It was quite easy to get around Umdloti and the surrounding areas.
Things we did included going to the beach, exploring nearby areas like uMhlanga, enjoying sunset walks, and relaxing together. We also visited uShaka Marine World for a fun gondola boat ride.

I have been visiting the place quite often and each time has a different experience. Some visits were more pleasant than others but again the units have different hosts nd hostesses and so is their professionalism when dealing with guests. I can't let 1 bad experience ruined everyone's chance of visiting the place because Sibaya has amazing units, very private and your safety is of utmost importance to them. Checkers and Checkers Liquor are just a walking distance away to some and just a door step away from other properties. It is surely a place to visit when u need that quiet time either alone, with partner or even family.

I liked it, it is value for money.
I liked it, it is value for money. The food is great, I didn't get around La Mercy, most of the time we were driving to other places, 15 - 25 Km away. But it is close to the airport and close to the shopping mall.

It's peaceful and easy to travel through, not a lot of traffic and impatient people around. Friendly people that make an effort to give you directions and suggestions. The ocean is beautiful, great for fishing and family picnics. The staff at the Spar and other shops are friendly and kind.

It is great for a family or if you enjoy quite time for yourself.
Great walks can be done especially taking a walk to the kwik spar which is a really nice store . The teenage kids loved the tidal pool .We also loved the mall which was 5 minutes by car .

I got scammed by the host of this apartment.
I got scammed by the host of this apartment. Before I got to 10th Heleza Blvd, I called the host 19 times and none of my calls were going through. I even tried calling with my other friends phone but the calls were still not going through yet all my messages were going through which meant that his phone was on. Once I got to the apartment the security guards didn't not have my booking details on their system and the security guards also tried calling him with their landline but the calls were also not going through. Ended stranded with nowhere to go, since home is far. Picture used are fake!!! SCAM ALERT!!!
