Well firstly, I asked for a quiet room as I am a poor sleeper. Most hotels just reply 'subject to availability' as they cant be bothered attending to such requests. However, this hotel replied: Bien noté and they did give me a room at the end of a corridor and facing the quiet side, so I was very happy about this! One night I slept for 11 hours which I have not done for about 15 years! The room was large (the bathroom was unusually large which was rather comical) and the bed was lovely. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. I decided to try and speak French right from the beginning and they were so patient and polite, never once immediately switching to English to insult me and not smirking at my dreadful French. My suitcase broke and I asked for a screwdriver, the lady searched everywhere to provide me with several different ones in various sizes! The location is excellent as its right in between the 2 rivers, lovely for running in the mornings or just sitting by the river in the evening but still a short walk to town. Loved this hotel!
