The location was perfect, overlooking the ocean, private pool, full suite with kitchen, and 2 minute walk to the beach and grocery store. The incredible view from the balcony, the peacefulness, beauty and comfort of the place, the beauty of the gardens, beeing able to help ourselves to the herb garden with the most beautifully sented basil, picking grapefruit and black berries from trees and the friendliness and warmth of Stanni, the host, who gave us so many good recommendations, sorted out a car hire at an excellent price for us and let us stay in the appartment until the afternoon on the day of checking-out. Highly recommended and within eady reach of all major places on the island. The icing on the cake is that you have access to the beautiful pool and stunning rooftop bar of the hotel next door with a view of the mainland and the Vesuvius.

Set in Ischia, Villa Ravino Secret Retreat provides accommodation with free WiFi and a seasonal outdoor pool. This hotel is more than excellent. I was traveling with my wife and 3 years old son and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfect and the people who works at the hotel, restaurant and the garden are so super friendly. It was our first stay at Ischia/Forio and we have promised ourselves to come here every year and stay at the exact same place. We talked to some guests and they have been coming back for many years to the same hotel. We had a memorable stay. It was also my birthday and they surprised me with a bottle of cava and different sweets. This hotel is walking the extra mile for making your stay just perfect. The room was super clean and had everything you needed. Villa Ravino Secret Retreat is a beautiful relaxing slice of heaven.

The guest houses are run by a very kind family. The owner has created a wonderful garden with exotic plants, you can see the love and labor he has put into his life project. Daughter Ida, a professional teacher, does the service better than I've seen in any other place. The mother keeps everything in check. I'm a repeated visitor of Ischia, knowing this Island since I was a toddler in the 1980s, now I'm visiting with my wife and children. I recommend the strategic place of Buganville as the best hot thermal spas are easy to reach by bus. It is a good place to be for a family, any requests can be communicated and solved with the owners.

Villa Olivia has the most beautiful pool and garden area of any holiday property I've ever stayed in. And you can pick lemons and fresh herbs from the garden. There are stunning views wherever you look. And a Japanese foot massage bath! The view over the sea from our balcony was my favourite, especially at sunset. Olivia and her lovely father Giuseppe could not have been kinder or more helpful, they go all out to make your stay a blissful one. Bear in mind the walk down to the beach although short (10-15 minutes) is quite steep. The walk into the centre is easier and takes about the same length of time. As others have pointed out, parts of the road have no pavements. It didn't bother us because we got used to that holidaying in Croatia. The beach Spiaggia Chaia is beautiful. The water is calm and shallow, so good for children. Lastly there's a spa supermarket right next door.

We just spent a wonderful week at Residence Hotel La Rotonda Sul Mare with our family, and it couldn’t have been better! The place has such a welcoming, family-run atmosphere, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They helped us with renting a car and scooters, gave great local tips, and truly made us feel at home from the first day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with beautiful views and everything you could ask for during a stay on Ischia. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, we left with great memories and the feeling that we’ll definitely come back. Thank you to the whole family for your warmth and care! 💙
