Boasting a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and views of garden, Villa Mucellena is an aparthotel set in a historic building in Casole dʼElsa, 21 km from Piazza del Campo. The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. We certainly enjoyed our stay. The Villa is located pretty far away from Tuscan towns, people, up on the hill - which is perfect for a quiet, peaceful stay. You can enjoy your morning coffee with a fresh cornetto, then sunbathe and swim in the pool which is of appropriate size. No crowds in common areas, just a bunch of families and couples enjoying their peaceful vacations. The Villa is located a 30 minute drive from nearest towns which are full of great restaurant and cafes. On Saturday we were offered dinner cooked by the owner, it was delicious and we highly recommend this experience. Location is great for people wanting to unwind and visit a couple of Tuscan towns. Not that great for somebody wanting to sightsee all of them. There are multiple rest areas through the villa and its gardens, you can find a nice spot anywhere you’d like.

Surrounded by vineyards in the Chianti hills, La Compagnia del Chianti is just otuside the medieval village of San Donato in Poggio. It features a summer swimming pool, BBQ and wood-burning oven for pizza.

Offering air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, the apartments have traditional Tuscan decor with terracotta floors and exposed stone. The kitchenette includes a dishwasher and coffee machine. What a stunning and charming place. So peaceful and Giada was such a lovely lady - nothing was too much trouble and so friendly. She was right there if you needed her and quietly away when you didn't. San Donato and its residents are also so delightful. We whiled away a few hours drinking with the amazing locals in the village bar, ate superb food in the pizzeria and the restaurant and just adored everything. The apartment was so well equipped and clean and the view unmatchable - the sunsets were phenomenal and the grounds beautiful. There really is nothing like sitting on your private terrace sipping a cool glass of local wine surrounded by lemon trees and watching the world go by (quietly) over the hills beyond. La Compagnia del Chianti exceeded every possible expectation we had - Giada was amazing and we can't wait to go back - it's a little bit of heaven.

Great location, great value for the money, everything was really good organized, amazing swimming pool with breathtaking view.

Surrounded by a large garden of olive groves and woods, Podere Vigliano dates back to the early 1800s. It now offers Tuscan style apartments, each with a private entrance, living room and fully equipped cooking facilities. We have been in Tuscany many times, and this location was the best stay ever: amazing views, well equipped kitchen, clean pool, well maintained surrounding olive garden. Every evening we found our grill already cleaned and ready to be used again. Best service ever! The owner was always available and helpful. We felt like home those two weeks. Our stay was wonderful! The staff were so friendly and were always so kind to us and especially our little boy. The pool was perfect, the apartment was gorgeous and the bbq night was so fun!

It means you can get up when you feel like it. This was great for me.

The apartments have either a balcony or patio with a view of the garden or swimming pool. Each one is air conditioned and comes with a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette equipped with a dishwasher. It was a perfect apartment for a small family with a child. Very clean with everything you need. Swimming pool was just perfect and there were a lot of possibilities for excursions around the accommodation. We found a great play ground in Barberino Val d’Elsa. It is for all age categories and there is a bar for aperitivo or a small restaurant to eat right next to it. Our daughter loved it.
