We were welcomed with fresh fruit, a bottle of red wine, a beer in the fridge and a chocolate heart on the bedside table. Not to forget the friendly host who greeted us with a big smile. Extremely clean, very quiet, and the accomodation offers everything you need, including a private courtyard. We couldn’t have wished for more. The location very close to the ferry terminal was another bonus as we took the ferry to Pico Island.

Located 200 meters from the Atlantic Ocean, Apartamentos São João were completely renovated in 2024, and offers self-contained apartments. Great place to stay, we only spent 1 night but it was everything we needed. Very comfortable apartment, with comfortable beds and it’s always a plus to have great AC in the summer heat. Also although we didn’t get to meet the staff due to our self checkin they were very friendly and informative.
