Apartments in Ísafjörður

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tangs in Ísafjörður. Despite its central location, the apartment is in a tranquil setting adjacent to a park. The building is historical, but the interior has been modernly renovated. However, it still preserves its old charm with thoughtful touches like displaying old carpentry tools behind glass and printing historical photos taken outside the building on the walls. One of these photos was so naturally integrated that we didn’t even realize there was a door behind it leading to the bathroom! The kitchen was extremely user-friendly and well-equipped. It had not only pots, pans, and cooking utensils, but also an abundance of coffee, tea, spices, and condiments—far more than we usually have at home, which we found incredibly convenient. There were also reasonably priced wine and beer available, and complimentary soda, including cola and orange juice. We only met the owner at checkout, but he was very kind and gave us excellent advice on a driving route. Thanks to his suggestion, we were able to see seals, which we would have missed otherwise. Although we stayed for only two nights this time, we would love to come back and stay longer on our next visit to Ísafjörður, especially to see the puffins again. Perfect localization in the historic centre, but in a quiet side street. Enough space for a couple.
