I spent a night in Venice and chose Palazzo dei Guardiani for a laid-back stay. The apartment is brand new and furnished with a clean, simple, modern touch. It’s equipped with all the essentials; the bed is extremely comfortable — a must after a long stroll through the city. I had a great rest as the place is strategically located in a quiet area, yet within walking distance of the train station. However, I preferred taking a water taxi to fully experience the Venetian way of getting around. The residence concierge helped me make the most of the little time I had, offering great advice and tips on how not to miss the main landmarks around me. They were not only kind and always welcoming with a smile, but also truly professional and eager to help. For groceries, there’s a small supermarket right across from the residence, where you can find everything you might need.

An exceptional apartment hotel in a wonderful location and with attentive service. Our long weekend in Venice exceeded all expectations. This place succeeds in combining the historic with contemporary, feeling a bit like Alice in Wonderland. Behind the huge front door hides a haven. In the attic flat with our own kitchen we had everything we needed and it felt like we were the only ones staying there. A delightful detail was hearing the music and opera practices nearby through the open windows on weekdays.
