Really easy to find and well located for the start of the Kumano Kodo. Super clean and comfortable and really great food! Beautiful views from the bedroom. Loved the freedom to eat when we wanted and a fully equipt kitchen was there- so if anyone is cooking then that is an option!

We stayed here on the Kumano kodo trek. The location is less than a km from the path so it's easy to find. It was exceptional with lots of touches that made it really comfortable after a day of hiking. The deck is great for an afternoon in the sun. Place was very clean, with shampoo, towels and even snacks provided. We almost didn't want to leave. The owner was available via message to help with anything.

We were so lucky to find an accommodation on a very short notice close to Takijiri, the start of the Kumano Kodo Nakahechi Trail. We were prepared to walk from the accommodation to the trailhead in the morning (about 30 minutes), but the host offered a ride for us (and the other 3 guests that were staying with him). We stayed in the downstairs apartment and found it to be very clean and spacious. There was a washing machine and dryer which can be very useful for hikers. When we arrived, there was a welcome panel in front of the house with a number to contact - we did and the host arrived right away. He lives in the neighbourhood, less than a minute away. It is also at their house, where he and his wife serve meals to their guests. It was a nice experience to meet the other guests (there were 3) during dinner and breakfast. The meals themselves were beautifully presented and so delicious. We very much appreciate that they went out of their way to offer us meals (dinner, breakfast and lunch box) with less than a day notice. We had a very good time and would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was a great surprise. Good one. The aparthotel is located 10 min walk from the beach. A bit steep, but easily doable. Our apartment was fantastic. Specious with all the possible Japanese mod coms. There was at least 5 heating setting at the bathroom including one for drying clothes. And the washing machine and a dishwasher were there too. Kitchen fully equipped. Washing and beauty products provided in excess. Basically you could live there as in your own home. Staff was very friendly. They serve breakfast ( extra charge) that looked very nice, but we were jet lagged so never tried them.

I really enjoyed the delicious bakery and it's great that at the end of the day left over items are sold at a discount to hotel guests. I also really loved that the onset was open until very late at night.

Very good host -friendly and also picked me up from the train station. Helped me schedule delivery of my lugage and also after check out dropped me at the Kumano Kodo starting point. Food was tasty - dinner breakfast and the bento box were brought to my room at the scheduled time. The host met my request for the type of food that I wanted. I got the top apartment, it was spacious and everything worked all.

The host, Hiroki san, picked us up at the Kii-Tanabe train station. We then had a great BBQ by the river. Excellent meals during our stay. Very comfortable apartment with great amenities. Amazing hosts. Highly recommended.

The property is a perfect starting location if you plan to do the kumano Kodo. 25 minute flat walk to Takajiri-oji. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be organised at a reasonable price. Drinks and alcohol can also be arranged. Both days of my stay the owner offered to take me to the local convenience store, which is about 3km away. The owner also helped me a couple times and checked that everything was alright.
