The property is absolutely fabulous, a credit to its owners, who were also extremely helpful. As a family we travel to Oakham 2/3 times per year, this will now be our goto place, if available of course. Location was perfect for our needs being centrally located in the town, but also the perfect place for peace and quiet. Welcome basket was a perfect touch. Car parking is currently an issue for non UK tourist (but is being worked on) as it is not possible to download local apps for car parks on a foreign mobile phone. We did find a solution for this through a very helpful local resident who put our car on their app, we did of course pay for the parking.

First time staying in a hut was so cute and everything you needed so down time with hubby beautiful views anyway from world. Walked to the little village pub for a couple of drinks then back to relax

The shepherd huts are on the estate so its gated which makes if feel very safe and secure. The views of the lakes and the surrounding hills are absolutely stunning. My family had the most wonderful short stay at this apartment. It was amazingly well appointed, with everything you could need. The welcome and introduction was warm and informative, beds were comfy, plenty of living room space, good internet & TV and a very detailed welcome book.
