De plek is echt geweldig. Accommodatie was erg ruim met alles wat je nodig hebt. Vlakbij (wandeling van 2 minuten) is er een strand waar je zowat alleen kan vertoeven.

Violeta heeft uitzicht op de stad, en biedt accommodatie met een terras en een balkon, op een paar minuten lopen van Therma-strand. The host was good, we were looked after. The place was comfortable, clean, housekeeping was done regularly, everything was close.

Well Being Luxury Apartments ligt in Evdilos, op 6 minuten lopen van Strand van Evdilos en 2,6 km van Kampos. De accommodatie biedt airconditioning, uitzicht op de zee en gratis WiFi. First and foremost the manager was great. I never met him/her but all my questions were answered within 10 minutes. They stored our luggage until the ferry came. The room was comfy and a short uphill/downhill walk to the port.

The Mesaktis River Rooms, een accommodatie met een tuin en een terras, ligt in Gialiskari, op 6,9 km van Kampos, 17 km van Folkoremuseum van Vrakades, en 18 km van Koskina Castle. We are currently staying in Karavostamo but fancied a change of scenery. I had holidayed in Greece for 21 of the 26 years together, but recently my partner died and I have found it difficult to settle this year. The Mesaktis Rooms were exactly what I needed. A beautiful tranquil setting, our terrace looked down on to a small lagoon. The owners gave me and my friend homemade lemonade and the most delicious homegrown figs, which we consumed whilst overlooking the lagoon, which was home to over 30 turtles! We were given bread with which to feed them. What a sight to feast your eyes on while we drank our delicious lemonade! The accommodation is rustic, it’s not luxurious, but it’s what we both loved about this place. There are tavernas beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a simple meal. There are tavernas maybe 5 minutes walk away, a mini market next door, and over the road there is probably the best beach on Ikaria - Mesaktis beach. At the far end is a lagoon in which you can see even more turtles! The hosts, as you may have picked up on, were so generous and warm. I miss the place, the kittens and Sadi the dog already. This has been the standout experience so far of this 3 week Greek island hopping trip. I absolutely loved it, and it helped me along in my grief journey. To the owners: thank you for your hospitality, for letting me leave the car on your premises after we had checked out, and sorry for taking the room key!

Aloni Cottage above Aegean Sea ligt in Raches, op 10 km van Kampos en 17 km van Folkoremuseum van Vrakades, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, airconditioning en een tuin. The cottage was equipped with everything any traveler would need. From coffee filters to trash bags, from cleaning supplies to bug/sprays and repellent. All the necessary kitchen equipment was there. The house was spotless. The view over Mesakti beach is wonderful. The house is situated away from areas where the number of homes built very close to one another. So if you are looking for peace and quiet and enjoy watching a sunset while sipping on your wine, this is the one. You may get lucky and receive regular visits from humming birds as they look for the nectar within fowers all around the cottage. As you walk to the cottage, there is a round teras on your left that could be prepared / set up as an outdoor sitting / eating area. It has great potential for it. However, it would require prunning of couple olive and almond trees to take full advantage of the view.

Incredible view and location. The apartment is huge with all amenities, and extremely comfortable for big groups of friends. The host is very friendly and eager to help. Cute chubby dog at the entrance is a bonus. Perfect place to enjoy your holidays in Icaria.
