Mr Julio is a good host. He answered my enquiries and he gave good suggestions. He also arranges for tours and shuttle van services at a good price. His wife cooked the best breakfast. Everyday we had a new menu for breakfast. The bed and pillow were comfy to sleep on. Good wifi. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay.

The cabin is located right on the bank of the lake, offering a stunning view once you leave the compound (there is a fence there for security reasons!) and the inside is cute and cosy. The kitchen equipment is slightly limited but was good enough for some tacos in front of the lake. The staff were very friendly and patient (I arrived not knowing it was cash-only, but they were trusting enough to let me go to the cash machine in my own time). Situated about 5 minutes walk from the village, it doesn't take long to reach the restaurants and bars, though is far enough to not be bothered by the noise.

El cuarto es comodo, limpio, con agua para café y TV.

Casa Mama Wela está en San Pedro La Laguna, a solo 24 km de Volcán de Atitlán, y dispone de alojamiento con terraza y wifi gratis. I stayed for a week and really enjoyed having an apartment to myself. Check in was easy, and the host sent detailed instructions for locating the apartment before I arrived. The location is great, and there are restaurants and plenty of shops nearby; and the central fruit/vegetable market is in walking distance (the blender in the kitchen was great for making fruit smoothies!) There was fantastic communication with the host, and having a desk to write at allowed me to spend time working on creative projects in beautiful San Pedro.

Casa Elenita, que cuenta con terraza, dispone de alojamiento en San Juan La Laguna con wifi gratis y vistas al jardín. The host is AMAZING. He is beyond friendly and helpful. He connected us with his cousin who gave us a great rate for the drive from Guatemala City straight to the property. There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.
