We had booked a penthouse apartment which was excellent! Great location not too far away from anything (although you could argue that everything is close to anything in Malta). One front-facing terrace with nice views over the surrounding rooftops and you could glimpse the sea from the terrace as well even though we were located behind other buildings (this wasn't something we explicitly expected or requested [I believe] so a nice bonus really). Easy access to the apartment, nice restaurants close-by (DON'T miss the Lebanese place just up the same road) and a small convenience-store nearby as well. Bus-stop just on the main road so easy access to public transport (although I could say a few choice words about the public transport lol). The apartment comes fully equipped so anything you'd need for even a longer stay. Our host Monika provided ample information about the area and gave us a great welcoming on arrival.

Featuring free WiFi, Portside Lodge offers apartments in Marsaskala and a rooftop terrace. Valletta is 6 km from the property. The nearest beaches can be reached on foot. A beautiful and clean apartment with everything you need, even for a longer stay. The location is excellent; you can walk to the beach and many restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Marta at the front desk! When part of our group had a problem with the air conditioning, Marta easily changed our room at 1 a.m. We had a late flight back and were also able to extend our stay until the evening for a few euros without any problem. Marta, thank you so much for everything! I highly recommend this place.

The studio apartment is very specious and comfortable, very well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, smart TV, oven and microwave, toaster, coffee machine, A/C unit !!!) and accommodating (kitchen tools, dishwasher pods etc.). Super comfortable bed, couch, kitchen table and balcony with a great view!! The location is superb, beautiful view, clean and safe with lots of restaurants (steak, Thai, Italian) and cafes. Easy to get around, the bus stop is 3 minutes walking. We absolutely loved our stay there!

The apartment itself was great. Wonderfully appointed. Spacious with the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Fantastic air conditioning. Clean, super tidy and uncomplicated. Alastair as a host was fantastic.
