Facing the seafront in Bunaken, Sunset Guest House & Bar has a private beach area and a bar. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. this homestay was really really nice. the food 3x a day (7-9am, 12.30pm, 7.30pm) is soooo good. best food i had in indonesia, and different meals each time. Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. The location of the property is the best spot for self snorkelling and they have boat trips for daily snorkel and scuba points with realy good staff and boats are not crowded. This is a family owened bussiness and thanks to Jerry and Wileke they answered all my questions patiently and helped me during our stay. It was very nice listening Jerry's singing with his guitar on the beach. They also have a beautiful large tropical garden.

Naca the host is so sweet and welcoming. There is just one room, but it is much nicer than the rooms my friends rented next door which was twice the price. If you want a cozy beautiful place to stay, and can get your meals and activities on your own, this is the best place

Stefan is the best host you can possibly have - if you appreciate exceptional thoughtfulness, hospitality, caring and local knowledge. He will always take care of your needs, and help you with anything. If you are wise enough to have Stefan guide you for boat tours and to take you snorkeling, you will have the best possible time. He is patient, knows the best times to go to different places, if possible will wait for other boats to leave so you have a more personal experience with the dolphins or the turtles, etc. Stefan’s family is lovely and will make you the best meals, always respecting your dietary choices. If you are very lucky Stefan might bring out his guitar after dinner.

FRANGKY HOMESTAY is set in Manado and offers a garden and a shared lounge. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Everything was very good: the price, the food, the organization... Franky told me, very sad, that the couple who spent only one night had given him a bad comment and that it was a misunderstanding and certain tour arrangements due to bad weather. I honestly think that Franky organizes everything very well.

The Queens Villa is the pearl of North Sulawesi ! I’ll start with the food. You don’t eat at Queens Villa, you dine. The food is prepared from start to presentation by master chefs. They take great care and pride in their work and will always visit your table to be sure everything is excellent. They even take notice of what you don’t eat so they know what you like. Meals are served around the three tiered pool that is crisp and clean and no chlorine ! A beautiful water falls with soft lighting brings a soothing atmosphere. The property is always occupied by many artist always making wonder wood works, fountains and flora that feels like the garden of Eden. Dinners and evening are a great mix of international artist and travelers sometimes great conversations sometimes musicians playing guitars and drums, flutes and on occasion Karaoke singing! They have a complete network of drivers, guide and business people all around Sulawesi. If you don’t want to carry cash around the village and boats and on tours you can just tell them your hotel and they will send the bill to Medi and Julieanna. They can arrange any kind of tours and excursion tailored to your likes, so you don’t need to pay for packaged tours that you don’t want and at a great price. They are the only ATM on the island at this time which is really convenient. And the most important part for me is the dive shop. Local guides with eagle eyes and fantastic skills!!! Again, very wonderful prices and equipment. Indonesia in my opinion is the greatest dive sites on our planet right now and Bunaken is right up there with Raja Ampat and their reefs and dive sites are just minutes away on a boat. And for turtle lovers, this is by far the turtle haven of our planet bar none!!! My favorite by far!!!!!

Blue Shark Divers Bunaken is situated in Bunaken. Featuring a private bathroom, units at the homestay also boast free WiFi, while certain rooms have a terrace. We had a great stay at Blue Shark. The rooms were complete with comfortable beds, private bathroom with a shower and toilet and air conditioning. The food was delicious with lots of variety and large servings. The diving was also fantastic! Being a new diver, Dion ensured my first 2 dives were in calmer waters allowing me to become more confident. My dive master, Vian, always ensured our safety and was very attentive to me when our other dives had more current. I would not hesitate staying with Blue Shark again and will highly recommend to others.

Situated in Bunaken, 4 Sisters Divers offers beachfront accommodation 700 metres from Pangalisang Beach and provides various facilities, such as a private beach area and a shared lounge. We booked for 6 nights and extended our stay for 9 nights as it was so good we just couldn't leave. Nona cooks the most delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, see the sunrise but get the afternoon shade. They can organise all your diving or snorkeling trips, rent motorbike to see more of the island etc.

Novita Homestay is a 3-star property situated in Bunaken, facing the sea. The property has sea and mountain views. We had an amazing 2 night stay with Novita and her family. They were incredibly accommodating and the fresh caught fish dinner and her many sauces were amazing!! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Bunaken, we wish we could have stayed longer!
