Ken was a fantastic host, the house is very convenient, well decorated and fit with great amenities thanks to Ken's renovations. He provides nice food options for breakfast and in the case that you weren't able to purchase dinner, there's instant food you can purchase from him. Good to have options since there aren't any convenience stores within walking distance. He knows the area very well and will definitely inform you on where to go. It was so lovely to wake up with a view of the surrounding mountains. The local area is so peaceful as you're right by a river and many of the local people have nice gardens. The bus stop to Hossawa Falls is only a 5minute walk away. You're also a 10-15min away from Seoto-no yu Onsen which is so convenient..

300 metres from Honson-Maehama Beach, Etcetera Guest House is a recently renovated property set in Niijimamura and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Ghill was very friendly and helpful, a very good host!

Set in Oshima, 200 metres from Hinodehama Beach and 200 metres from Okada Port, 香や野 kayano 海と富士山を一望できる1棟貸し宿 岡田港まで徒歩5分 offers a garden and air conditioning. We stayed in Japan for a month and travelled to Oshima Island for a week staying in this wonderful home. Now that we’ve finished our trip, we can safely say it was our favourite place we stayed on the trip. The view feels like you’re on a ship looking out to sea. The tranquility was wonderful. On one of the days it was clear enough to see Mount Fuji from the house, it was stunning! There would often be many buzzards flying directly above the house. The host was very nice, he really made us feel welcome. This really helped us settle in quickly and know we’re being looked after. We didn’t hire a car which wasn’t a problem as the bus stop is just a couple of minutes walk away from the house. From there we could access most of the island. We really enjoyed the traditional Japanese style of the house. The Futons were comfortable and were perfect for our toddler to sleep next to us. The house has many sliding doors so you can adjust the space to your liking. The kitchen was very well equipped, there was even some salt, pepper, spices etc which most places wouldn’t usually include. This made it easy to cook during our stay without having to buy these bits. The house is just a couple minutes walk to the beach. There is a direct access down some steps so you don’t need to walk / cross any roads. We hope to visit again in the future and do some fishing. Thank you for making our stay so special!

Situated within 200 metres of Suihaizo Monument and 2.3 km of Julia Monument, Vacation House Familia offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Kōzushima. Breakfast was fantastic and the company was better! Aya and Ken were both so friendly and accommodating, offering rides, suggestions on places to visit, and making reservations for us. They even went as far as to notify us when the skies cleared up so that we had a chance to see the stars!

Set in Oshima and only 300 metres from Kobohama Beach, ゲストハウスKOIZUMI offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Perfect location close to the Motomachi port. There are many places to eat nearby as well. The rooms are simple, clean, and have everything you need: bed, ac, a table etc. They are also really spacious. The staff (host) is also really friendly and accommodating, and one of them even speaks English. I was offered food multiple times, even though it is not included in the accommodation plan. The common (dining) area has a tv and manga, and is a nice place to chat with other guests and the host.

Located in Oshima, 300 metres from Motomachi Port and 6.3 km from Okada Port, Book Tea Bed IZUOSHIMA offers air conditioning. It’s clean and there are ear plugs for free. This is important when you share a room with others. They have some local made spirits so you can enjoy drinking there.
