The location of the youth hostel right on the Atlantic is amazing. Super friendly staff. The apartment is basic, but we knew that and it wasn't a problem. There is even a simple breakfast and a great terrace. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Everything was wonderful. I had such a nice and spacious room and a big comfortable bed for myself. I definetly would go back. The wellness was perfect and the gym is equipped, they have everyting! The breakfast was the best thing ever.

The hotel was spotless and very cosy. The design is unique featuring light colors. The hotel is small but has a large area on the first floor with a fully equipped kitchen and dinning lounge. We loved spending evenings in it. We visited in January, so the heating in the room and all other spaces was really helpful.

It is not often we say we will go back to the same place again - VSS is one of those places - absolutely superb from Top to Bottom and something for everyone. We have a list of "we will only book if" and this place ticks it all beach access (nice walk there), pool, aircon, bbq and space. The rooftop(top) bbq was properly used and is so special while watching the sunset. Everything was supplied and in top condition (a few shutter hiccups but nothing unresolved). Lourinha and surrounds also a superb spot with great beaches and restaurants and things to do. Lastly a hats off to Ruth - above and beyond the call of duty - thanks Angel
