Beach Hotels in Machico

Modern, very well designed apartment walking distance from the centre and the beach. A bargain value, everything was really well thought out, clean and nice, with a terrace. Would recommend for couples and solo travelers alike. Host was very friendly, communicative. He also rents out scooters for good value.

The quality of the property is exceptional and to a very high standard. The shower room is fantastic, high quality rainfall shower (with additional shower head), super large mirror with lighting and anti-mist heating. Shower cubicle is spacious and doors easy to open and shut with a good fit. The kitchen area is fitted to a high standard with soft-close drawers and doors. There is are plenty of drawers full of kitchen utensils, plates, cups etc, all you could need. Nice Espresso coffee machine too and the fridge/freezer is big enough to stock up for a week or two's stay. Patio area is basic at the moment but functional and the owner/host will be improving this as time goes on he told me. Also, there is private parking here, which in Machico is priceless (don't get a huge car!) the back streets of Machico can be a little tight sometimes. The bedroom is nice, mattress is a 'firm' type. Good storage in bedroom. Blinds are new and there's an outer shutter window. There is a local bar opposite the apartment so there will be some noise but it did not bother me at all as they close late afternoon but this is a residential area with all that goes with that. I slept every night no problem. The apartment is very close to Machico sea front, just 600m, you will find an amazing seafood restaurant on the seafront. Nice supermarkets very close too. There is a bar and a cafe just 200m away too. Nice for a morning coffee or evening Poncha after a day out. A Bolt taxi will cost 23 euros (average as price fluctuates) to Funchal centre from Machico a yellow taxi around 50% more I think. The owner/host, Patricio, is a really nice and friendly person. I was fortunate in that he just by chance was able to give me a ride to the airport! If you want somewhere in the heart of lovely Machico then you cannot go wrong staying at Casa Do Favinha. You'll be staying in real Machico and mixing with the friendly locals. I felt very safe.

Location, room service, breakfast

Breakfast was included and offered hot and cold choices. The location was great.

The Villa was very big, clean and comfortable; perfect for traveling with a big group! We were 6 and stayed 4 days. We encountered no problems and were very grateful for all of the things that were included (eg: towels, TV). The host, Jean-Marc, was incredibly welcoming and kind. Would come again!

Absolutely lovely apartment basically on the beach, perfect starting spot for exploring Madeira, with all imaginable amenities close at hand.

The location is superb everything is so close from the ocean views to the mountain views. Parking outside the apartment - to be paid but not expensive also Saturday afternoon and Sunday free. Very close to a local shop and a lot of cafes and restaurants. The apartment itself was a very good size having 2 bedrooms and a nice living room to spend some time together. New TV and the kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to make yourself a breakfast or tea and coffee. Beds were so comfy we could sleep all day . There also is a loft to get to all the floors. I would love to come back in the future for sure 😃😃

Breakfast was amazing! Room had amazing view to the ocean. The people were so friendly and I liked they organised games around the pool and as a solo traveler I met some so good people. Really good value for money near airport, oh and they also organised super nice taxi to different town, and in general, I felt cozy in that hotel.

Host Telma was very friendly and helpful, the place is beautiful in a nice location, and private parking is available, it was very clean, just perfect!
