Perfect location for walking at Kamikochi (5 minute walk to bus terminal), peaceful, well organised. Ping pong table was a lot of fun :) Free bikes to borrow, e-bike rental and e-scooter rental w helmets as well (mountainous terrain).

Perfect location in magome, friendly staff, I enjoyed a soak in the bath. Be aware that the showers are communal (male and female seperate areas) and the stairs are very steep.

A lovely property in the most perfect location. The old town is just beautiful and this hotel is right in the middle of it.

Everything was great. Perfect location within 5 mins of walk to Takayama station and ten mins to some of the must see spots. The hotel exceeded my expectations! Was much nicer than what I’d imagined. The room was also decent sized and not too compact like many Japan hotels. The onsen is also a must try. Will def stay here again!

The hotel was right near the train and bus station, and only a short walk to the old town - it was a perfect locations. It had a small kitchenette and a washer/dryer in the room.

A beautiful hotel with the perfect location. Everything was lovely! The public bath was clean and the ice lollies were a great touch. The Japanese breakfast was delicious and we loved the free sake tastings in the evening. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect location close to old Town, river and markets, yet not too far from station. Wonderful host. Beautiful restored Machiya with amazing attention to detail. Quiet area, yet not so quiet that you can talk freely in normal voice. Super comfy beds and top class tech.

The whole hotel is really nice and sophisticated. The rooms big and nice with a nice view of the river (sunset was amazing from the room). The spa area, gym and sauna were perfect after a long day
