Located 8 km from World Heritage Wat Phou, La Folie Lodge offers accommodation overlooking the Mekong River. Boasting an outdoor pool, the hotel features free Wi-Fi and free round-trip shuttle boat services to Don Daeng Island. This was our third stay at la Folie Lodge over the last 10 years. I think management would be hard pushed to find more enthusiastic guests. It is a wonderful place and, located on an island in the Mekong, is quite literally out of this world. The entire experience is simply superlative. The rooms are lovely, the vista from the balcony over the river to the sacred mountain of Vat Phu inspiring, the pool immaculate, the restaurant excellent and Mr Alom's staff charmingly attentive. Special thanks must go out to his second in command, the genial Mr Sam from Pondicherry who raised our enjoyment of this visit to even greater heights. His apparent ability to be everywhere simultaneously when you needed him coupled with his friendly, courteous and discreet assistance transformed our days. Thank you Mr Sam!

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house has a private beach area. Very nice place to spend a few days in 4000 islands. The Host was very helpful, smiling and kind.

Very good stay in Don Det very calm, plus the sunset coast is way less hot than the sunrise one and has a little wind very enjoyable. The sunset is something not to miss enjoying the cocktails and other delicacies made by the hotel for a very affordable price.

What a wonderful trip staying in this hotel with super amazing staffs. The staffs here are so friendly and helpful. Perfect location to go around Definitely will come back this hotel or recommend for anyone plan to go to Pakse

Great location on the sunset side of the island. Lots of hammocks and chairs for watching the sunset. Great food. Also within easy walking distance of bars and other restaurants. Owners very nice. Bicycle rental available as well as bus tickets. Rooms were clean and comfortable with x 2 fans and mosquito net though we didn’t need it. Windows able to be opened to let breeze through

was in a perfect location, and Xavier and his Wife were the best hosts. The room was also lovely and clean and the bed was very comfy! They sorted our motorbike rental in advanced for the pakse loop and gave us lots of information for it. They let us leave our bags while we did the loop and even did our washing for us whilst we were away! The breakfast was also amazing and some of the best fresh bread we have had in Laos

The bed was big and comfortable, even though it was two big beds together. The hotel was just across the river, and from the river, there was a beautiful view over the sunset. Staff polite.

Peaceful and relaxing guesthouse ran by friendly family. It was nice to have a private balcony with my own hammock and air conditioning for about 11USD per night. The restaurant is good too, and you can chill with a beer in the garden to watch sunset over the bridge. I enjoyed my week here very much and will happily stay here again if I return to Don Khon.

The view from the bungalows is amazing. You step out of your room and have a hammock to sit and admire the amazing view. It's a perfect spot for the sunset too. The bungalows are great and spacious and have everything you need. The hosts are great and friendly and the breakfast is delicious. Location is great too, not in the centre but that's a good thing as it's quiet.
