Quiet, simple but with a great taste.

Excellent location on the beach!! And the staff is very nice and approachable!!! Thank you so much for a great stay! We had a lot of fun!

Amazing place to stay in El Cuyo, we had a great time staying at Cucu. The room was very comfortable, nicely designed and clean, the breakfast and morning coffee delivered to the room every morning were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When we come back to El Cuyo we will definitely stay in Cucu again.

Casa Mia El Cuyo Eco Beach Boutique Hotel heeft een barbecue, en ligt in El Cuyo in de regio Yucatán, op een paar minuten lopen van Playa El Cuyo en 2,4 km van Playa Cocal. Lovely and quiet place! Just one minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to the centre of El Cuyo. Staff speaks good English and is really helpfull with tips for your trip around Yucatan. We had a really great stay! Also a good place for birding, with species like Yucatan Bobwhite, Yucatan Vireo and Yucatan Jay close to the hotel!

I loved my stay at Casa Cuyo, and was lucky enough to be the only guest! Carlos was kind and helpful even before I arrived, recommending the best SIM card to buy for the area. It was very clean, the pool is lovely, having a kitchen was a definite bonus. It's two blocks from the beach and about 10 minutes from the centre. Carlos also recommended a local guide, Jesús, I took two tours with him (kayaking and birdwatching tour) and cannot recommend them enough!!

The cabins were amazing and really comfortable! They are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed is comfy and the net does protect you from any mosquitoes which might have gotten into the room, although I didn’t see any inside (there were many outside, but repellent kept them at bay). The staff was friendly and ready to help, and they lent us beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. The pool was slightly cold, but still quite pleasant and clean! The Wi-Fi works perfectly well for working remotely, and there are sufficient power outlets inside and outside the cabins. On the TV there is Netflix and other streaming platforms. There is also a temazcal (traditional sauna) which works on scheduled days and can seat large groups. There is no kitchen inside the cabins, but there is a fridge to keep food fresh, and there is a shared kitchenette with an electric stove, near the site’s entrance, and the staff can lend you a pan to cook a quick meal. Hot coffee is prepared and served for free twice a day. There is sufficient, safe, and convenient parking space for all guests, and the staff lends you a little trolley so your luggage can be carried around easily to your cabin without getting soiled with sand. I would definitely recommend it to any traveller, and I will surely come back with my family one day! The property has one pet-friendly cabin only, so if you are coming with your pet it’s worth booking and letting them know in advance.
