Homy Seafront Hostel bevindt zich in Kota Kinabalu, op 3,6 km van Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village en 5,4 km van North Borneo Railway. Absolutely amazing! The nicest staff ever, the lady I was messaging on WhatsApp gave me SO much information and really allowed me to have the best Sabah trip! The staff went above and beyond! The breakfast is a help yourself breakfast to bread, cereal and jams. The room was very clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. Loved the location, overall a very pleasant stay :)

Bonheur at Karambunai is gelegen in Kota Kinabalu, op een paar minuten lopen van Karambunai Beach en 29 km van Filipino Market Sabah, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, airconditioning en toegang... Prachtige plek zo aan de zee! Wel in 'the middle of nowhere' dus hadden voor ieder boodschapje een grab nodig. Het gehele resort ziet er wat verouderd uit. Zeker zo'n 10 zwerfhonden lopen over het terrein. De buitendouche was fijn en ook het zwembadje hebben we van genoten. Fijne ligstoelen. Keukeninventaris is wat krap: 3 mokken, 3 vorken, verder overal precies 4 van. Nathan was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Reageerde snel op een berichtje en kwam bijna dagelijks langs met een kadootje. Om de dag werd er schoongemaakt. Mooie plek maar ook flink prijzig!

Zeer goed en makkelijk contact met eigenaresse. Er kwam gelijk iemand naar ons toe toen we aankwamen, erg aardig. Verder is alles aanwezig: van mondkapje en paraplu tot powerbank en föhn. Faloe Hostel is gelegen in Kota Kinabalu, op 1,8 km van Filipino Market Sabah en 4,1 km van Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village. The staff were superb. Sya the receptionist in particular is very hospitable and helpful: no task or question will make her flinch or nervous. She is incredibly helpful and a net positive to the hostel with her work attitude. The housekeeping cleaners are very diligent with their work and never slacked off. Smoking corner has good ventilation and there is plenty of seating and power outlets. Also a tv with cable and spare computer, card games and board games. Laundry is affordable at 12 MYR for dry and wash and the staff will help you with it. There are ample toilets and shower and the place is very clean. Lots of hooks to hang your clothes. You can leave your bags and relax in the common area after checking out. The private room was extremely comfortable and spacious and the AC was strong. Tours are on offer and you pay in cash. Staff know exactly what they are doing and they are honest - I forgot to take out my money from my shorts pocket and the staff returned it to me promptly when doing my laundry. Very easy to make new friends here and it is a social place. Will come back!!!!!

Everything ! The beauty of the place,even the details with the planting of flowers and plants. Food was very good. Very kind staff. Everything day, a man cleans the beach! So ok there is just electricity between 5 pm and 9 pm , but it is written in the description ! So why complain after?! We loved it there! Great atmosphere ! Not for people looking for a five star resort! But for simple people who want to enjoy nature.

All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!
