Thé location was amazing, the water was calm, no wind like the other side of the island. The farm animals were a great perk . The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Rancho Tranquillo se encuentra en Moyogalpa y ofrece alojamiento con jardín y terraza frente a la playa, a 34 km de Volcán Maderas. Se ofrece wifi gratis y mostrador de información turística. Uno de los lugares más bonitos en los que me he quedado nunca!! Leí en los comentarios que los dueños eran buenísimos, pero la verdad es que son excelentes. 10 de 10!! El desayuno es riquísimo, la finca es preciosa, tienen una playa privada con el mejor atardecer. Se ven miles de luciérnagas por la noche, es mágico! Está súper cerquita del puerto. Puedes alquilarles la moto e ir por toda la isla. Mil gracias por todo, Daniela y Tony ❤️

El Bamboo Cabins se encuentra en Balgue y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, jardín con terraza y vistas al lago. We absolutely loved staying here! The pictures do not do this place justice. The cabins are carefully built, very clean, and very comfortable! They are equipped with the necessities so we could cook and make coffee. It is right on the water and we went out on the dock both nights for sunset. The cabins are perfectly tucked away so it is very peaceful.

Finca La Magia dispone de vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Ometepe, a 5,4 km de Volcán Maderas. Hay una zona de estar y de comedor en todas las unidades. This place is something really special. Victor and Delfi made us feel so welcome in their little green paradise. The facilities are very nice, everything is made out of Bamboo and the food cooked by Delfi is fresh and sooo tasty. You shouldn't miss this place If you are looking for a relaxed time on the Island. It is close to the starting point of the waterfall hike.

Rocks Beach se encuentra en Balgue, en la región de Ometepe, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. We loved our stay here so much that we ended up extending a few more nights. The bedroom and kitchen are clean and comfortable. The hammocks on the balcony are a great touch. We made friends with the guest in the room next door which was a plus. The store on the corner of the street to the main road has chocobanana for 5 cords and yummy nacatamals on a Sunday

Hospedaje Bananas tiene vistas al jardín y se encuentra en Altagracia. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín y terraza. Hay wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Bananas was great, I highly recommend it, would stay there again.

Hostal Así es mi Tierra se encuentra en Balgue, a 12 km de Volcán Maderas, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

This place is heaven on earth. The perfect getaway, so tranquil, beautiful, delicious food, kindest staff, comfiest bed ahhhh I loved this place so much I teared up when I had to leave.
