Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, all rooms at the motel have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms also boast a balcony. The rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. Took our breakfast with us. It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.
