Beach Hotels in South Island

The property was right on the beach at St Clair and, even though we weren’t booked into a beachfront room, we still had a great view of the beach from our balcony. The room felt really spacious and was very comfortable and clean.

We stayed 1 night enroute West Coast travel. The Motel is right on the Beach highway. It has full cooking facilities. There is not much close by but we walked to the beach in 5 minutes. Nice view at sunset. Car is parked right at the door therefore very convenient. Staff helpful, gave us good information (e mail.messaging) prior to arrival.

We loved our stay at the Ghost Lodge. The location was amazing, and the lodge was cozy. We used the hot tub which was right on the beach with amazing views at sunset.

Amazing location. Just beautiful. Right on the beach . Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Ocean. Clean, Comfortable, right in the middle of town with immediate access to an excellent supermarket ( stock up before travelling further.. the next decent store south is in Wanaka) and liquor store ( with an in house discount!). There are laundry facilities too. The staff were kind and hospitable. The food offering is also good. We ate with room service one evening ( to watch the sunset!) and it was prompt and tasted great. Recommended.

Great relaxed. and right on the beachfront. Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Tinkers Kitchen, and great to be able to stock up with items from the shop.

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Absolutely beachfront as described. We stayed on the third floor and enjoyed a stunning sunset ocean view from our balcony. The hotel and room was very clean and quiet. The king bed and pillows super comfortable. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Great price and walking distance to everything in town.
