Wow, this accommodation blew us away! Pierre and Manon who are running this property with a lot of LOVE are incredible people worthy of admiration! They bought a house with a good amount of land around it and have constructed several cabins, a yoga deck, a restaurant and a boat house over the last few years. Ataraxia has its own pier, so boatmen will easily take you there from Isla Colon. At the back of the property, there is a nature reserve, a jungle with so many treasures! We were able to spot the red frogs, caimans, a racoon, yellowtail birds, giant turquoise butterflies, turtles, giant ants, we rented a free kayak and paddled through the mangroves nearby, and we walked on several occasions to Old Bank, the main village on Isla Bastimentos, and once to Wizzard Beach. Manon also booked us a trip to Zapatilla (including sloth, dolphin and starfish spotting and snorkeling) and Pierre arranged our transportation to the airport. Several ideas for activities in the area conveniently presented in a booklet in the room (Zapatilla trip, Wizzard Beach hike, Red Frog & Polo Beach, bio-luminescence tour, etc.). Free kayaks and snorkeling gear available. If you are into botany and medicinal plants, you will have a lot to talk about with Pierre who planted so many of them around the property. Running a guesthouse in the middle of the jungle is a hard task, yet the couple somehow manage it and always keep smiling and interacting with guests at all times. Thank you very much, we will never forget our stay with you! You are a true inspiration! Be aware that: there is no hot water or AC and you cannot use a hairdrier, as the place runs on solar energy. There is wifi. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very spacious. Cold drinks available in the common fridge and option to have dinner. Tasty and creative breakfast included.

Carmen's place in Bastimentos biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de tuin, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras, een restaurant en een bar. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Prachtige locatie in de jungle net iets buiten het centrum van Bastimentos. Zeer hartelijke ontvangst door Carmen en haar man, zij gaven ook leuke tips voor het ontdekken van Bocas Del Toro en geen vraag was te veel. Er was ook een heerlijk zelfgemaakt ontbijt door Carmen met onder andere vers fruit en verrukkelijke pannenkoeken. Een grote aanrader!

Pure Roots ligt in Bastimentos, op minder dan 1 km van Playa Carenero Noreste en 2,3 km van Playa Carenero en biedt uitzicht op de zee en gratis WiFi. Basic huisje met prachtig uitzicht, rustige omgeving. Goed vers ontbijt.

De Lodge in Punta Rica... Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is een onlangs gerenoveerde bed & breakfast in Bastimentos, waar u kunt genieten van het zwembad met uitzicht, een privéstrand en... Deze accommodatie is de kers op de taart. We hebben hier onze laatste 2 nachten van een 3 weken rondreis doorgebracht en het was de beste. Achteraf waren we hier graag onze hele Bocas week geweest (eerst 4 nachten op Isle Colon verbleven, geen aanrader). De gastheren Daniel en Brian zijn super gastvrij, de kamers mega ruim en schoon, en de omgeving is prachtig. We hebben genoten van het zwembad en het heerlijke eten. Ondanks ons korte verblijf voelt het alsof we bij vrienden op bezoek zijn geweest. We vertrekken met een warm hart voor deze plek. 10+

Hotel Caribbean View heeft een gedeelde lounge, een terras, een restaurant en watersportfaciliteiten in Bastimentos. De accommodatie is rookvrij en ligt op minder dan 1 km van Playa Carenero Noreste. We loved the vibe in Old Bank, Bastimentos and the hosts of the Caribbean View. The hotel is run by a family and theyre all really friendly and helpful. The son Luis can also take you on some amazing trips with his boat. The room is very big and clean, and every day your room is cleaned. Sometimes there is a problem with water on the island but when you ask the owner he puts the water straight on for you and you will have warm water to shower
