The new Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort – SHA Plus is an absolute beachfront property situated on Bangsak beach, a long stretch of coastline off the Andaman Sea, just a 90 minute drive from Phuket International Airport. The property was beautifully set on the beach. There was a delicious variety of food at breakfast and Chef Tao greeted us everyday. We especially enjoyed the lemongrass butterfly pea tea at the reception.

The Malila offers international food by the beachfront with views of the open kitchen where guests can enjoy fresh seafood dishes. We had an amazing stay at Moracea, and the upgraded beach bungalows were absolutely worth it! The accommodation was excellent—spacious, beautifully designed, and the bathrooms looked newly renovated and spotless. Breakfast had everything we wanted and more, setting us up for a perfect day by the ocean. The hotel’s pools were lovely, but we spent most of our time in the sea or lounging on the beach just steps from our bungalow. There are beach loungers available, but it’s best to go early if you want to secure one. Khao Lak is wonderfully peaceful—a much-needed escape after the busier vibe of Karon Beach. It’s the perfect place to unwind, take long walks along the shoreline with plenty of hotel bars to stop at, or visit the old town for some shopping. After exploring the area, we truly felt that Moracea was the best choice, and we’re so glad we booked here. Highly recommended for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

Situated on the Andaman Sea’s white-sand Khao Lak Beach, this Thai-style resort offers bright rooms with free WiFi access. Five restaurants and three bars are located on site. The resort boasts a 3.2 km lagoon pool. We have found our most favourite resort/hotel/accomodation throughout our travels. We were surprised by the sheer volume of activities (most being free) hosted by the hotel such as muay thai classes, floating yoga, washing buffalos, biking to see elephants and fire dancers. Would recommend staying 5 nights at the very least given the actitivies, a 3km pool streaming alongside the entire resort and multiple restaurants to try out. There is also a private beach for guests. We did visit in town but you can certainly spend your entire time at the resort. We capped off our stay with a Thai buffet dinner watching the sunset, where the hotel team helped to place our table on the beach as requested. Shoutout to Tin who was very friendly and assisted us to have a late check-out. Could not recommend enough.

The bungalow was clean and comfortable and the food was very good.

All guest rooms at the accommodation come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a safety deposit box. In all my years in Thailand this is the absolute best hotel I can recommend. This is a true 5 star hotel. The staff is outstanding and the service is exceptional. The breakfast is perfect with everything you could need, and so is the service. Unfortunately only stayed one night this time but will be back soon.
