From our balcony we spotted monkeys and lots of birds. Mama and her staff were all very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. In general there was a "home away from home" atmosphere and I understand why many of the other guests had come back for the last many years, ways staying at least a month. You can choose to be private and do your own thing, but if you fancy a chat, the other guests and Mama are there for that! Koh chang is a special island that I would come back to, and even though many of the other guesthouses also looked nice, mamas is special because of the friendly and home-like vibe.
