The hosts were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. It's rare to find such welcoming people, and it made my stay so much more enjoyable. The breakfast they serve is delicious – a perfect start to the day. Plus, they offer scooter rentals, which made exploring Koh Mak Island super convenient. I was also impressed that they have a laundry service, which was a lifesaver during my stay. Koh Mak itself is beautiful, and this hostel is the perfect base to enjoy everything the island has to offer. I loved every minute of my time here and would absolutely come back in the future. Highly recommend!

This was my absolute favourite hotel! I loved staying here. I felt super comfortable during the stay. The room was very clean, the bed very very comfy and the bathroom, especially the shower lol, was really nice. So was the interior of the room; so cute! But what mostly stood out was how friendly and helpful the staff was. While everyone was amazing, i really want to point out that the young woman that was at the reception mostly in the morning/noon was the sweetest and so so helpful. I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name. I would recommend everyone to stay here and enjoy the gorgeous sunset on the beach right in front of the hotel :)

Our stay was so relaxing sat out on the decking listening to the water flowing beneath us, you wouldn’t believe you were on a busy pier. Sunrise was well worth getting up for and the breakfast was lovely. Loved our two nights here and we will be back.

Koh Chang is a beautiful island—not only is the island itself lovely but so are the people who live there. No exception at Lonely Groove: Lemon and her sister were so happy, kind and caring, their big smiles and warmth reminded me of being at home with my mom. I felt safe and comfortable my entire stay. I loved chatting to them before heading out to explore or after coming back from a long day in the sun. Some notes: the bungalows are further inland which means less foot traffic and noise from other hotels/bars; it's peaceful, quiet and clean; the beach is less than five minutes away (stop by all cafes/restaurants on the way to/from the beach!); my bungalow was modest and roomy, had all the necessities, including a mosquito net, and aircon didn't cost much more; hammock on the outside patio; watch out for monkeys who want to take your food! I would love to come back.

The view from the deck was beautiful, very quiet and secluded. Mosquito net was easy to use and worked well. A beautiful stay for a very affordable bungalow.
