The rooms (actually an apartment in the side building) were spacious and exceeded my expectations. The furniture was new and the overall facilities were well maintained. Very peaceful location, still close to the main attractions. Public parking nearby, at a low charge and places well available (at least in April, may be different during the tourist season). The staff was discreet and friendly.

we went on motorbikes , greeted with a very warm welcome , facilities fantastic , everything one could want. well stocked fridge and "honesty" bar .

This family-run, country hotel is situated next to a stream on the edge of a forest, in the Ehr district of Halsenbach. Landgasthof Alter Posthof is 3 km from the spa town of Emmelshausen.

The room was even better than I imagined it would be, so we were extremely happy. The staff were generally helpful. The hotel was easy to find and has plenty of parking. Will definitely return whenever I am next in the area. There were bottles of drink and cans in the mini fridge (for which there is no extra payment).

Wonderful location, view of the Rhine, Netto store 5 minutes away, Weingarten very close too. Delicious free pastries and coffee, tea for breakfast. Large room (a bit tired furniture) but everything works. Large bathroom. Terrace overlooking the Rhine.
