The room was upstairs overlooking the rear garden; it had a pleasant outlook. The room was of adequate size and was quiet. We were greeted warmly by the host who explained where food outlets were for the evening meal. Beds were slightly firm. Breakfast was excellent and owner went out of his way to cater for my wife's G/F needs and went beyond in helping in other ways.

It’s not just ‘rooms’ it has a cottage vibe in this beautiful old building and with extra room and huge bed which was extremely comfortable, good powerful shower, too. Super efficient with the self service check in/ out, breakfast was ready at our disposal. Everything new and great eye for details.

We loved everything! Urs and Anita were the most welcoming hosts and thought of absolutely everything. Dressing robes and slippers. A huge choice of teas, coffees, water, juice and milk provided in our room. A fridge too. Fresh fruit, drinks and snacks available in the lounge area all included for our stay and breakfast was delicious. A peaceful and relaxing B&B. Definitely 5 Star!

We had a perfect stay at Balnabrechan Lodge. Jules is a wonderful host, giving plenty of great recommendations of things to do, eat and places to go, including ongoing events. The lodge is just wonderful, everything you need is there, we loved that there is a bathtub. Places to sit outside and relax. The location is very close to the Lunan Bay and beach, which is extremely beautiful. A large sand beach for long walks. Absolutely everything was just perfect and we had a really great stay, we will be back next time for sure!

St Vigeans is a beautiful little village of cottages. Kirkstyle Hideaway was a school building, now converted into a cosy little place to stay and enjoy the tranquility of a garden filled with trees shrubs and flowers. Gloria provides well stocked cupboards and fridge for breakfast. The patio was perfect for an evening meal (obtained from a supermarket store which was a pleasant 1-mile walk away, along a riverside), and breakfast - the weather was perfect for our stay. We were delighted we discovered this place.
