Extremely warm and welcoming. Bar was super, log fire blazing. Quickly exchanged chat and laughs with other locals and visitors at the bar, fantastic. Breakfast was the best, fresh hot and with the best bacon ever. We had a lovely big warm and cosy room with windows facing the sea front. Big warm bathroom. Excellent price and value. All staff helpful and friendly.

This really is a Boutique venue. Absolutely beautiful . It is also quiet and very comfortable. We were only there for 1 night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Excellent value for the high standard of facilities available.

This is a unique place to stay that includes not only a large comfortable bedroom and ensuite bathroom, but also a large living room with sea views and a dining room. Orla and Steve were very friendly and welcoming.

The hosts Sue and Paul were lovely and very helpful with recommending what to do and where to eat and shop around Bangor/ Belfast which made the overall stay and experience both wonderful and enjoyable. The location of the guesthouse is very central to the Marina and main streets/ restaurants and bars in the town, all within walking distance. The guesthouse and rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious providing good value for money. Highly recommended stay at Shelleven Guesthouse!

The breakfast is beautiful! The hosts are considerate and helpful, giving information about local spots as well as showing an interest in their guests. The rooms are full of character and you just feel tension draining as you enter. My friend and I like to come to get away from it all in this beautiful little haven of tranquility!
