Thank you to Albert and Aileen for a wonderful stay at Grainbank Mews. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean, with a delicious breakfast prepared for us each morning. Great location, just outside Kirkwall and a couple minutes' drive to all the shops and restaurants. We were really curious about life on Orkney, and Albert was very kind and informative, even pointing us in the direction of the 'Orkney Dictionary' (which I bought!) This place is a treasure and we would love to stay again the next time we are in town.

Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.

Everything at this place is AMAZING!!! Ultra clean rooms fairly close to Kirkwall...and the staff Suzanne the manager and Jenny the cook are so friendly and helpful....poached eggs perfect....Suzanne is such a great lady you feel like you've known her all your life...and they welcome dogs in the bar...LOVE IT!!! Loki is the Scottish Akita owned by a local in St Margaret's..❤️❤️❤️

A wonderful place to stay as long as you don't mind driving. It was semi centrally located to most sites you may want to visit while in Orkney. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and prepared to order. The restaurant offered a nice variety of meals for dinner as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. The tv room/lounge was always available if you wanted somewhere to unwind. The staff was also kind enough to allow me to stay there a couple of hours after checkout while awaiting my ferry. I highly recommend this hotel.
