The location is set in a nice tranquil spot, fresh countryside area and nice and quiet. The host was super friendly and attentive to our needs during our stay. Breakfast was very tasty and just what we needed before heading off for the day.

The Howard Arms is a home away from home. I always stay there when I visit Ilmington, which is where I was born and raised until the age of 9. I thoroughly enjoy the ambience, the rooms and the staff. And I am always made welcome. There is an excellent restaurant and for those so inclined a very well provisioned bar plus a lovely garden for relaxing in good weather.

Real Ales, fine wines, superb food and a warm welcome await from your hosts, Sarah and Lisa. The interior retains an old world charm, with log fires, stone walls and oak beams.

The food and breakfast are exceptional, the rooms are cosy and neat and the garden space is lovely, especially if you have kids with you. The staff are very courteous and helpful as well. It's a lovely Inn with a good location to travel around Cotswold.

Lovely, friendly staff and locals. Very old and quaint hotel full of history and quirkiness. Food was very nice and the local draught beer went down very nicely. Would definitely recommend staying here. Lots of local walks around the area, all very clearly marked and easy to find, some great views and wildlife to be had.
