We happened to stumble upon Il Fienile completely by chance and were absolutely thrilled from the very first moment we arrived. A true gem, located near the Po River in Reggio Emilia. Patricia, her charming three daughters, and her husband Vido are the most wonderful hosts one could imagine. We haven’t stayed in such an amazing B&B in a very long time. We spent just one night in one of the suites, but it’s a place that would be easy to get used to :) Breakfast and proper coffee in the room was amazing, and our host Lara, lovely! The most thoughtful details taking care of everything, from slippers to cotton pads, and a lot of options for ambient lighting. Since the town is on the not-so-touristy side, at least in September, the local rhythm of life dictates restaurants close by 2pm, and then, you can’t get a proper lunch - in the end, it was Scaravelli’s restaurant that came to the rescue, special thanks for that!
