Everything from the stay to the host. Hiro-san was very accommodating and communication was done via Google Translate 😂 nevertheless we were able to understand each other pretty well. Stink bugs were one but we made it into a family adventure of sorts.

Staying with Kota and his family was absolutely wonderful! The absolute loveliest stay I’ve had in Japan. What a delight the hosts are - Glenda is an absolute gem and the loveliest. She used to tour around Japan as a singer! If you’re lucky enough, you can get her to sing a bit for you. Her husband is an incredibly talented chef and cooked us a huge and wonderful dinner - probably the best food I’ve had in Japan. Strong recommend!

I enjoyed my stay with the very friendly owners. Had a great meal and a nice evening together in the restaurant, meetings like this are part of what makes travelling great. Basic Japanese style room, but all perfectly clean. Great location and good value for money

I found the place great for exploring Kanazawa: you get an entire traditional Japanese house for yourself, in a quiet place despite being 20 minutes by foot from Kenroku-en garden and the castle, and at a very competitive price. It was extremely clean and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommended!
