I had a problem with my motorcycle and I stopped there to sleep and find a solution. For my surprise it was a great place. More than i needed actually. Because I arrived very late and with a "broke" maschine, the owner helped me with a pizza from a near town. It was awsome. And by the way, i took the opportunity to know a place where I have never been. No complaints at all. I wish all the best for the family and staff.

Primoz is an exceptional and genuine host who would do anything to make you feel welcome, thanks again Primoz! That already was the highlight for me. He even woke up at 6:30 on the day i left just to make me breakfast. The place is very simple but also very spacious and kept clean. I was travelling from Postumia caves down to Croatia, so that was a perfect stop for the night, and inexpensive. The town is tiny, not much to do, but I didn't know the area around is very nice to visit and for activities, next time i might stay few more days to experience more :)

The housekeeper is very kind and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful. The location is excellent, with major attractions within 1 hour drive.

There were moren than 1 aspect that i found so lovely. The location is quiet, in nature. They have also a restaurant which serves traditional food made out of local products and local wines. If you want, you can enjoy your picknick outside. They offer also horseback riding and sauna. The place is run by a family, parents and children, and was founded by the family when the highway was constructed. They do a very great job together! The location is central in the country so you can have the combination of a wonderful location and not far of everything. The capital, the mountains, the see, the caves, .... . I felt at home.

The owner Mr. Igor is a great and friendly man. Breakfast and dinner are really very good. It is a quiet place, and only one minute from the railway station.

This is actually a review for the Hotel Malovec-same owner, but they moved me over to the hotel when I checked in; it’s about a 3-minute walk down the street. Absolutely lovely, comfortable room, very clean, lovely bathroom, great water pressure in the shower. The included breakfast was completely out of this world. So if you’re reading this, and trying to decide between Guesthouse Risnik and Hotel Malovec, I can’t speak to the guesthouse, but knowing what I know now I would absolutely spend the 25 extra euros to stay at Malovec. Even for the breakfast alone.

the reception guys were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was VERY good the room was spacious and clean. All in alll, it was very good value for the money.

This was a really nice cute little hotel room. It's a nice location, with parking nearby. The hosts were kind and quick to respond. The room itself is pretty small but great for a short trip, with a fridge, comfy bed, and clean bathroom. They also included bottles of champagne, which was a nice tough.
