María Isabel and Pedro are such good hosts, nice, they gave us some tips for things to be done in the area.They sent us a menu for the night in case we didn't want to eat outside.It was delicious, they had dinner with us and we talked and enjoyed the dinner so much. Breakfast is delicious.(Apple juice, coffee, cheese, three types of bread, marmalade, butter, eggs....)The daily home made bread comes from the neighbour on the left of the property and the eggs are from another neighbour. Everything is local and very tasty. Thank you both for your warm welcome and the attention received during our stay.

Hostal La Minga is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Chaitén, where guests can make the most of its private beach area and garden. A lovely secluded place that is a short drive out of Chaiten. Klaus and his wife seem to be quite conscious about sustainability. Many items at breakfast and dinner were homemade which was delicious. I was in a twin room at the back of the house which was comfortable.

Buffet and American breakfast options with local specialities, juice and cheese are available. The stay was great, Carolina waited for us on a cold rainy night. Room was warm and the shower is good. Carolina is also a writer and we ended up buying a book she wrote about the arts in the souther regions.

The hosts were kind enough to wait for me to check in late, when the ferry was delayed for 5 hours. The breakfast was exceptional.
