Just 4 minutes’ walk from San José Beach, this guest house in the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve offers bright accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Great value and location close to the beach and restaurants. Very quiet, and it was great to have a private terrace. As a perk, the owner offered a free and very varied breakfast. There was also a dry climate garden with labeled plants and their country of origin. Very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again.

Located in the Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve, Las Olas is just 200 metres from the beach in San José de Níjar. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi and a balcony or terrace. Everything was good! We had the studio facing the town/beach and it was perfect. It is not in the centre but at 5 mins walking. Be aware that there are stairs to reach the flat entrance, but nothing impossible.

Hostal El Dorado has a quiet setting in San José, a 5-minute walk from the beach. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and rooms with a private balcony or terrace. ​ We loved that the room had a terrace offering a spectacular sea view. The bed was so comfortable, ensuring we had a fantastic night's sleep. A great detail was the small, quiet fridge. Although we didn't get a chance to use it, the hostel also had a nice pool. The room was tidy and the location was perfect: it was quiet, not far from the main street, and its position on the hill provided a beautiful panoramic view.
