The staff (Pablo and Jaime) wen above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and informed about the area. When we arrived, Pablo had a map prepared with the best locations marked for fried fish, fresh fish, tapas, drinks, and ice cream. He then went over the map with us indicating all of the local tourist/historical sites and their admission prices (and gave us a discount coupon for the tower). Jaime greeted us every day like we were family and had recommendations of his own for exploring the city.

Each air-conditioned room is individually decorated in a Moorish-inspired style. Rooms are soundproofed and have a flat-screen TV, CD and DVD player. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Each room has a microwave and kettle. The location is charming, perfect for exploring Vejer de la Frontera. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Many thanks for the assistance with transportation from parking to the hotel. And I must mention the exceptional breakfast! Everything was prepared with care by the staff, making for a delicious start to each day. Highly recommend El Cobijo de Vejer for a wonderful stay!

We are from California, American (USA) and British (UK) tourists, this is your place, make sure to visit Algodonales to experience the real Spain, not the touristy gross parts. Owners Rita and Paco are the heart of everything that is beatiful and wonderful about Spain as is their their adorable boutique hotel, La Güena Vida. The entire town was welcoming and warm, and patient yet appreciative with our limited spanish. Paco and Rita went out of their way for us. They got us tickets to the local bullfight days ahead of time and even surprised me at departure with a poster from the bullfighting festival. We were in Spain for 3 weeks (Cadiz, Ronda, Nerja, Malaga, Marbella) and this was the highlight of our trip. The absolut best part of it. We cannot wait go to back and stay again, and moreoever to see Paco and Rita, whom I cannot thank enough. We feel like we made new friends and the best memories of our lives.
