GETXO ROOMS is gelegen op 13 km van Zubizuri en 13 km van Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, en heeft kamers in Getxo. At the suggestion of Correos, we started our Bilbao segment of the Camino del Norte at the Guggenheim Museum and followed the path along the Nervion River the entire distance to Gexto. Gexto Rooms was chosen primarily due to its proximity to the Vizcaya Bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), but was much more! This small hotel seems to be newly renovated with great attention to detail and hospitality. Bathroom was modern and clean and roomy. Bed was very comfortable and linens were of nice quality. Our hosts were gracious, accommodating, and interested in providing a fine stay, which it was! Note for pilgrims: Though not the "official" Way, this alternate route made for an easy warm-up day to begin our hike to Santander. Civil improvements being made to the pedestrian walkway have softened this largely industrial zone and a Lidl supermarket, located about 5 miles in, carried any beverages or snacks you might wish to stock up on. Arriving in Las Arenas early in the afternoon allowed for a relaxed start to our week and time to enjoy the town's beach promenade and sample plenty of pinchos! The following morning, we crossed over to Portugalete via the gondola— an experience that we would've otherwise missed! The Camino's yellow arrow was easy to find on the other side.

It's a stunning house with beautiful rooms. Our room (twin beds, shared bathroom) was extremly spacious, comfortable, and the decor had a lot of character. There was fresh fruit/tea/coffee facilities in the room, which was very welcome after a day of cycling. Everything, including the shared bathroom, was very clean. Our host was very welcoming and friendly and helped us getting our bags into the room. There was a secure place for us to keep our bicyles and an outdoor washing line to dry laundry/swim gear. I can highly recommend this property.

The rooms were comfortable and clean and the hosts were amazing they went above and beyond to make sure everything was OK for us and were very helpful with everything we wanted including arranging taxis for our group

Het Casa Rural Telleri ligt in de wijk Larrabasterra in Sopelana, op 10 minuten lopen van de stranden van Barinatxe en Arriatera. Er is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. The people working there are really nice and helpful. The place is very welcoming and nice. The beds are comfortable and it's a great location close to the sea. I will definitely come again when I am back in Bilbao!

Casa Rural Txokoetxe is gelegen in Mungia, op 20 km van Santiagokathedraal, en biedt accommodatie met een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Fantastische accomodatie op het platteland met een geweldig lieve, gastvrije en betrokken eigenaresse. Wil het je alleen maar naar je zin maken. Maak je niet vaak zo mee. Spreekt goed engels, ook prettig. Originele kamers, elk in een andere kleur. Haar creativiteit is terug te vinden in elke ( kleur) kamer. Prima bedden en badkamer. Enorme grote gezellige algemene ruimte,2 volledig ingerichte keukens, wasmachine. Diverse eettafels, zithoek met grote tv en zithoek met haard. Veel speel- en spelmogelijkheden binnen. Overal mocht je gebruik v maken. Buitenterras met buitenkeuken, tuinmeubels, trampoline. En enorme tuin. Hele rustige prachtige omgeving en vlakbij Bilbao! Wij hadden alle dagen mooi, zonnig weer maar het was ongekend heet( 37gr) voor de tijd vh jaar. Strand dichtbij! Ook gekozen vanwege onze hond die je met een bezoek Bilbao stad geen plezier doet met een stadsaccomodatie. Aanrader!!
