This property is on a family farm, 12 km outside Savonlinna and 10 minutes’ walk from Lake Pellosjärvi. It offers a private beach, a lakeside sauna and a summer restaurant. The hosts are considerate of customer language challenges with Finnish, and were helpful with local travel logistics as the area hosts a yearly opera festival each July. Room was exceptionally clean and included a bidet hose, little known in the Americas but a very refreshing hygiene feature. Exceptional amenities included a shared kitchen space with common games for casual interaction, row boats and fishing tackle.

It was one of the cosiest places we've ever stayed in, and it truly felt like home for the three nights that we spent there. There were so many things that were free to use whilst we were there too, which was very rare! Coco, the dog, was there to greet us too. Very cute! It was especially convenient that we had access to bicycles too, and everything in Joensuu was within a good distance to the apartment. If you like pizza, I ate the best pizza I've ever eaten in Finland at Pauliina Pizzeria, just a few minutes away. Hope to come back again! Kiitos hyvin paljon.

Parking just at the steps is always a big plus (easy to pack & unpack).
