When we drove up this rough path with an ancient block wall separating us from a large paddock a beautiful old farm house came into view. It had a lovely garden at the front and an old stable behind. We had 4 rooms - all were delightfully furnished and absolutely spotless. The bathrooms were all new but redone in sympathy with the house. The furniture and decorations were also so charming - giving a history of the property. Gion the owner of the property was lovely and provided every assistance - he recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner which was a real treat. Before dinner we sat in the lovely garden of Gion's property and watched a beautiful sunset over the trees and meadow - having a lovely glass of red wine. The temperature in our rooms and the quality of the bedding ensured a wonderful night sleep. Breakfast was a continental breakfast - there was plenty and it was - help yourself. Next time I am in France I am definitely going to rebook this property.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Studio neuf de 24m² features a garden. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. The property is soundproof and is located 49 km from Lascaux. Very clean. Had everything we needed and water and fruit juice in the fridge was a nice touch. We would have liked ‘proper’ mugs as the small tea cups are too hot to hold when filled with hot drinks so we bought two and left them in the cupboard. Superb value and superior to most hotel rooms.

It’s a magical place only few minutes away from the motorway . The hosts have great taste and thought of every details of our stay . We booked it one hour before and were welcomed like we felt at home with preserved meals to warm up and the following day a delightful breakfast . We left this place knowing we will return to enjoy it longer especially that the host is a great chef (you need to book it advance ) and they have a spa . Really a very surprising gem ! We will come back for sure !

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped...and the modern very efficient air-conditioning was so welcome as it was very hot! It is in a very quiet residential area...very peaceful. Our hosts reccomended several local restaurants in nearby Ussel for our evening meal, we chose Café Ventadour in the old square, and had an excellent meal in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
