Nice and homely room very clean bed comfy shower ensuite very modern . Adam the owner was very welcoming and friendly . He thought we were coming to see the festival it was a bonus as we didn't know anything about it. Having the use of the kitchen was good microwave ,cooker, fridge freezer. great weekend. There is a Washing machine tumble dryer we didn't use it .

The fridge was stocked with breakfast items and the microwave made it possible for me to heat up soup or something for dinner if I wanted. I really liked being able to take my breakfast/ dinner out to the little enclosed patio and appreciate being outside but still protected from the elements. The Hideaway is secluded if you want alone time but close enough to the town to still be able to participate in things. Tucked right across the street from St Vigeans Church and next to the little museum with Pictish carved stones (both of which are great to visit). It has beautiful walks into the countryside right behind the Hideaway and is only about a mile walk along a little creek to Arbroath Abbey. Another half mile walk through downtown and you’re at Arbroath Harbour. I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about this as it was perfect for my time there.
